Some time back, I read somewhere (I think it's from a magazine) that one of the key routine that most successful people have in common is : Reading, and they read a lot!
When talk about reading, first thing that came to most people's mind is library. I am very proud with Singapore's library system, they are easily accessible and continue to improve their books collection and services. Recently, NLB (National Library Board) has revamped their mobile app and one of the great new feature (to me at least) is tying up with PressReader to allow user to download/read eNewspaper and eMagazine for free.
From the app, it indicated that there are 3,648 eMagazines and 3,533 eNewspapers to choose from. Some of the popular magazines listed are:
1. Forbes
2. Fast Company
3. Reader Digest
4. Bloomberg Newsweek
5. Inc (USA)
6. Newsweek International
7. Total Film
8. Empire (UK)
9. Popular Science
10. Esquire etc...
Kudos to NLB for making reading such a breeze. I think we all have one less reason not to read now, the only potential issue now is time and information overload! I am not sure how long this arrangement will last, meanwhile, do take this opportunity to enjoy more reading on the go.
